Part A: Only the skilled nursing facilities can bill Medicare for clinical social work services to residents of the facilities. Clinical social work services are bundled under the Prospective Payment System which has been implemented.
Part B: Clinical social workers may continue to bill Medicare directly for clinical social work services to residents of skilled nursing facilities. Consolidated billing has not yet been implemented.
