![]() Statewide Advocacy Network Makes a Difference Our success reaching lawmakers on important AIDS issues is due to the active involvement of individuals throughout Illinois. Whether the issue is AIDS education, ADAP funding, or protecting Medicaid, lawmakers pay attention to the concerns of their constituents. Without needing to know all the ins and outs of government, advocates make a real difference by responding to our ACTION ALERTS for phone calls, letters, and petition signatures. While the "work" of each advocate is surprisingly simple - as easy as making a few phone calls - together it reaps enormous benefits for those with or at-risk for HIV. The more than 500 individuals currently in our statewide network, including people living with HIV/AIDS, their caregivers and service providers, report that getting involved is easy and rewarding. Please join their ranks today, or re-commit yourself to being a part of the fight against AIDS. By joining, you will begin to receive AIDS ALERTS, policy updates, and our bimonthly Action Bulletin. Don't delay - join today! |
