Hearing to examine implementation of
Social Security Act Title XXI State children's health insurance
program (CHIP), established under the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 to assist
States in providing health insurance coverage to
uninsured, low-income children who are not eligible for
medicaid, by expanding medicaid eligibility or establishing separate insurance
programs.
