Speak Up, America! Health Care Is Our Right!
Candle Light Vigils For The Uninsured

43 million people lack health insurance in the United States. Looking for something to do about it?

AMSA has held a number of candle light vigils for the uninsured in cities across the United States over the past two years. In October 2000, AMSA sponsored 4 candlelight vigil in conjunction with the Universal Health Care 2000 Campaign's Health Care Justice Week. We are, though, continually looking for organizers to help put together additional vigils!

AMSA has held vigils in a number of diverse locations, such as Boston, Houston, Chicago and Charleston, SC. There's no reason that you couldn't too! Read about vigils organized by students in the past!

If you would like to organize a vigil, please contact AMSA's Legislative Affairs Director.
