Hearing to examine issues
relating to establishment of Federal standards to protect the confidentiality of
personal medical information, including methods of
accommodating the law enforcement need to access health
information records in investigations.
Also
considers S. 573, the Medical Information Privacy and Security
Act, S. 578, and S. 881, the Medical Information Protection
Act, all three to establish national standards to protect the confidentiality of
medical records.
