SUMMARY:
Committee Serial No. J-106-86. Hearing to consider S. 2448, the Internet Integrity and Critical Infrastructure Protection Act, to:
   a. Increase criminal penalties established under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act for computer crimes, including denial-of-service attacks in which a malicious program is deployed to prevent legitimate users from accessing Internet sites.
   b. Expand law enforcement agency ability to investigate and prosecute crimes involving computers, and enhance law enforcement agency authority to cooperate with computer crime investigations by foreign jurisdictions.
   c. Require commercial Web sites to give visitors notice of data collection and sharing practices and the opportunity to request that their personal information not be disclosed.
