SUMMARY AS OF:
5/8/2000--Introduced.

FM Radio Act of 2000 - Requires any low power radio licensee that transmits a signal causing harmful interference to the signal of any full power radio station to cease transmission of all signals and to refrain from recommencing such transmission until it has taken all steps required by the National Academy of Sciences to ensure that such transmission will not cause such interference to the signal of any full power radio station.

Authorizes full power radio stations to bring an action for the enforcement of such requirement, with the burden of proof borne by the low power radio licensee.

Directs the Federal Communications Commission to complete all rulemakings necessary to implement the transition to digital radio no later than June 1, 2001.
