They say nothing is certain in life except death and taxes.

But Uncle Sam adds insult to injury by insisting on taxing you even when you die.

The death tax often forces small businesses to shut down. Surviving family members are often forced to close the company — just to pay the taxes.

In 1997, Congress passed some modest relief — but with government coffers now overflowing, it’s time to repeal this unfair tax altogether.

A lifetime of hard work deserves more than another visit from the tax collector.
