SUMMARY:
Hearing to examine proposed granting of permanent normal trade relations (PNTR) status to Chinese products, in connection with pending accession by China to membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).
 
The U.S. is required to grant PNTR status to China under terms of a bilateral agreement between the U.S. and China regarding the conditions under which China will enter the WTO.
