Dreier Hails Ways and Means Vote on PNTR

WASHINGTON - Congressman David Dreier (R-CA), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, issued the following statement today in reaction to the 34-4 vote in the Ways and Means Committee in support of legislation to extend Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) to China:

"Today’s strong bipartisan vote in the Ways and Means Committee is the first in a series of many successes for PNTR.

"As I have said many times, bringing China into the WTO is a win-win-win for American workers, American businesses, and American values.

"Today’s vote was a big win for all three."

A member of the House Republican leadership, Dreier leads the annual effort in the House to pass NTR for China.
