UAW Region 3

We in Region 3 are a social movement

UAW President Stephen P. Yokich says labor is a social movement, and Region 3 members proved it by rallying for fair trade and global rights.

Region 3 wishes to recognize and thank the many UAW sisters and brothers who in April gave up their time, pay and comfort to march on Washington, D.C., and lobby Congress for global justice and against permanent normal trade relations with China.

Leaving from Region 3 headquarters on three buses were members from Locals 23, 98, 226, 287, 371, 550, 933, 1111, 2274, 2382 and 9212. Two more buses left from Kokomo, Ind., carrying Locals 292 and 685 members while buses from Anderson, Ind., carried Locals 662 and 663. Locals 2209, 2357, 1539 and 57R (retirees), headed out from Fort Wayne. Another two buses left from Louisville, Ky. carrying UAW members from Locals 862, 1153, and 2347. Many union members also drove to the rally as well, providing lots of lobbying and yelling power from Region 3.
