Brunswig Corp. said Friday that its Bergen Brunswig Drug Co. unit will be the
primary supplier to 200 Fred's Inc. pharmacies in the Southeast. Financial terms
weren't disclosed. Orange-based Bergen Brunswig said the agreement also begins a
partnership through which Fred's will expand its electronic-commerce
pharmaceutical operations, as well as its mail-order and Internet
pharmacy business.
