We joined together to introduce HR 1899, The Health Care Worker Needlestick Prevention Act. This bill would protect health care workers from sometimes deadly -- and always costly -- workplace needlestick injuries.
States across the country are considering and passing laws to protect health care workers within their own borders, but this is a national epidemic that deserves a national solution.
To date, more than 30 national organizations representing millions of health care workers, public health advocates, managed care plans, and needle manufacturers have endorsed HR 1899. Please join with us to pass this important legislation to protect health care workers across the country.
