Urge Congress to Support the OSHA Ergonomics Standard

After 10 long years of struggle, workers in this country finally have won protections to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which cripple and injure more than 600,000 workers each year.

But business interests and their allies in Congress can be counted on to continue fighting to overturn OSHA's final standard through legislative and court action.

Make your voice heard today for protecting workers from ergonomic injuries.

Thank U.S. representatives and senators who have voted correctly on ergonomics and urge those who voted against worker safety to do better. Tell your members of Congress to support the OSHA ergonomics standard and to oppose any attempts to block or delay the rule.

Step 1: To see how your U.S. representative voted in the June attempt to prohibit OSHA from issuing the ergonomics standard, check House roll call vote number 250. Representatives who supported the standard voted Aye.

Step 2: To see how your U.S. senators voted, check Senate roll call vote 143. Senators who supported the standard voted Nay.

Step 3: Send a thank you message to members who voted to protect workers from repetitive strain injuries.

Step 4: Send a message to members who voted to prevent OSHA from issuing the ergonomics standard urging them to protect workers from these injuries in future votes.

Step 5: Urge others to visit this site and send e-mails to their members of Congress as well.
