DURATION: 18 months

PURPOSE: Montana Legal Services Association will continue to provide direct legal services to victims of domestic violence. Key objectives include: 1) hiring a rural specialist attorney, a tribal advocate, and a social worker; 2) expanding community education programs; 3) developing a model for reaching rural communities in outlying areas without access to civil legal services; 4) establishing a planning and implementation team to assist in the coordination of the delivery of services; and 5) training domestic violence service providers to assist with pro se clinics and recruiting pro bono attorneys to sponsor pro se clinics.
