A BILL

To combat trafficking of persons, especially into the sex trade, slavery, and slavery-like conditions, in the United States and countries around the world through prevention, prosecution, and enforcement against traffickers, and through protection and assistance to victims of trafficking.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS.

committees one or more interim reports with respect to the status of severe forms of trafficking in persons, including information about countries whose governments have come into or out of compliance with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking since the transmission of the last annual report.

SEC. 11. ACTIONS AGAINST TRAFFICKERS IN PERSONS.

SEC. 12. STRENGTHENING PROSECUTION AND PUNISHMENT OF TRAFFICKERS.

`Sec. 1589. Trafficking into involuntary servitude, peonage, or slavery-like conditions

`Sec. 1589A. Sex trafficking of children or by force, fraud, or coercion

`Sec. 1591. Mandatory restitution
