Civil legal aid providers have made great strides in recent years in
expanding their funding base beyond funding from the national Legal
Services Corporation (LSC). Since 1991, the legal aid community has
roughly doubled its funding. While LSC funding has remained relatively
level during this period, there is five times as much non-LSC funding.
