BODY:
PITTSBURGH - U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said
yesterday he will remain skeptical of United Airlines' proposed
merger with US Airways until executives allay his concerns
about a loss of airline jobs in Pennsylvania.
A Senate subcommittee met in
Pittsburgh, a US Airways hub, where concerns are high that the merger could
result in job losses and fewer flights.
United officials have said the
merger would increase the number of jobs in the state.
