SUMMARY:
Hearings to consider the
Administration FY2001 budget proposal and related issues in preparation for
Committee report to the Senate on a concurrent resolution.
Examines budgetary implications of recent economic trends and projected
budget surpluses, and reviews Internet tax issues, including
proposals to restrict State and local sales and use
taxes.
Also examines FAA progress regarding air
traffic control (ATC) system modernization, and reviews FCC use of spectrum
auctions to allocate radio spectrum frequencies.
