Call to Action

Every weekday morning CSE posts the Daily Action Alert. It provides the latest news about issues of interest to you, offers information about CSE events, tracks important happenings in Congress and state legislatures, and follows the schedules of the White House and presidential candidates.

In addition, the alert's "Action Item of the Day" supplies the information you need to take action on the most important issues of the day.

Action Items of the Day:

CALL YOUR SENATOR AT 202-224-3121 TO URGE PASSAGE OF S.353-THE CLASS ACTION FARINESS ACT! If you won one dollar ($1) in a lawsuit and your lawyer got paid almost $1 million, that wouldn’t be fair. Yet, that’s exactly what’s happening with some state-based class action lawsuits. The Senate will soon vote on legislation that will return fairness to state-based class action lawsuits by allowing their removal to federal court. The U.S. House of Representatives passed similiar legislation last year. For information on this legislation read Capitol Comment 273 - Class Action Lawsuits: We Are All Victims Now.

Write or call your Senator and encourage him/her to support free trade. Ask them to vote yes on Permanent Normal Trade Relations with China.
