ABORTION: Ban partial-birth

BODY:
I'm glad to see Congress attempting to ban
partial-birth abortions --- which Clinton will veto ("Latest
House vote on partial-birth abortions born out of opportunism,"
Editorial, April 11). The bottom line is that abortions have become a convenient
form of birth control for those without the self- discipline to use proper
protection during recreational sexual activities. Partial-birth abortions are
for those who take an additional six months or so to make the decision that they
do not want to reap the consequences of their behavior.
This is the
perfect recruit and voter for the Democratic/Socialist party --- a person who
can't make up her mind and needs the affirmation of the federal government to
purge her of any personal responsibility.
