DOUBLE STANDARD ON RELIGION?

It is
interesting that Democratic politicians Al Gore and Joe Lieberman can express
their deeply felt belief in God without criticism from the media ("Lieberman
urges bigger role for religion in public life," Aug. 28).
Al Gore is a
professed born-again Christian who is described thus: "when faced with tough
decisions, he asks himself, 'What would Jesus do?'" The obvious question: if
faced with the tough decision to sign a bill banning partial birth
abortions, what would Al Gore do?
