SUMMARY:
Committee Serial No. 106-28. Hearing before the Subcom on Telecommunications, Trade, and Consumer Protection to consider H.R. 850, the Security and Freedom Through Encryption (SAFE) Act, to liberalize export controls on software with encryption capabilities used to protect the security of computer network data, and affirm the right of U.S. persons to use and sell encryption.
