SUMMARY:
Hearings to examine issues relating to reauthorization and revision of the
Export Administration Act (EAA), which governs the U.S.
export control system and which expired in 1994.
Also considers a staff discussion draft proposal, the
Export Administration Act of 1999, to reauthorize and revise EAA, including
provisions to require the consensus of pertinent Federal departments and
agencies prior to approval of
export license applications.
