SUMMARY:
Committee Serial No. 107-126. Hearing before the Subcom on Health to examine the right of health care providers to refrain from performing abortions if they have moral or religious objections to the procedure, and the right of parents to be notified regarding HHS family planning services, funded under Public Health Service Act Title X, received by their children.
 
Also considers H.R. 4691, the Abortion Non-Discrimination Act, to prohibit the Federal Government, and any State or local government that receives Federal financial assistance from discriminating against health care entities on the basis of their refusal to perform or pay for abortions.
