CWA has played a lead roll calling for federal
legislation to renew the nation’s commitment to clean and safe water
by investing in infrastructure. Now is the time for the federal
government to recommit to protecting public health and the
environment. CWA has provided testimony before both houses of
Congress, most recently before the U.S. Senate in February and the
U.S. House in March and April 2002. The April

The Safe Drinking Water Act requires water suppliers to
give consumers annual reports about their drinking water. These
reports, known as Right To Know (or Consumer Confidence) reports,
are great tools for protecting public health.
Your report will tell you what’s in your water, where your water
comes from and how it can affect your health. Please visit our Campaign for Safe and
Affordable Drinking Water website for more information.
If you haven't received a report, contact your water supplier or
look for it on the EPA's Drinking
Water site.
Private Wells
If your drinking water source is a
private well, visit the EPA's Private Well
site for information about testing and protecting your well.
