AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment deleted section 517(a) which provided for the sunset of direct loan programs under the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act.

AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment numbered 16 printed in the Congressional Record to strike section 517 in the bill and to add a new section providing for transparency and accountability for minority and disadvantaged farmers.
