Washington Changed by Recent Events IDFA headquarters, located between the White House and the Capitol building, was an especially eerie place to be during the events of the past week, but everyone is thankful to be safe. Thanks to all that have sent good wishes our way. Of course, the September 11th tragedies have altered the priorities on Capitol Hill. IDFA had expected farm bill action soon, but farm legislation will now take a back burner position to security matters. IDFA is now communicating with congressional offices in order to discern the upcoming schedule of Congress. IDFA will work cooperatively with the White House and Congress in the days and weeks ahead in order to be of any assistance possible to help respond to the atrocities committed against all of us and to assure continued confidence in our nation. |
