Worldwide Food Expo Offers the
Latest in Dairy Technology and Business
Thousands of food and dairy professionals have been registering
for Worldwide Food Expo -- is your team signed up? Only a few days
remain for the early registration rate, and prime hotels are filling
up quickly. Expo, the largest international dairy processing event
in the world, is October 18-21 in Chicago. It will showcase the
latest innovations in processing, packaging, equipment, ingredients
and services. The show will attract 35,000 industry leaders from
more than 150 countries representing all segments of the
international food processing community.
From "Dairy Forces 2001", which take a dairy-specific look at the
priorities facing the dairy industry as well as how the industry
measures up to the rest of the food industry to a frank regulatory
discussion by U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman
on the new agriculture policies facing the industry, Expo '01 offers
new and exciting educational programming. Regulatory, operational
and food safety issues will be explored in more than 70 hours of
professional education including:
- Upcoming Farm Bill Debate for Dairy
- International Markets for Technically Enhanced Milk Products
- BSE and Foot and Mouth Overview: Everything You Need to Know
- A Look Inside: High Tech Dairy Plants
Specialty pavilions will give you a closer look at the latest
innovations in product development, processing, distribution,
refrigeration and more. What's more, every day before the exhibit
floor opens, experts from top exhibiting companies will present
technical papers on new products and technologies relating to milk,
cheese and ice cream processing plants.
Social Events Provide Fun Networking Opportunities
Thursday, October 18, join your colleagues for a relaxed and
informal opening reception at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. This also
features Refrigerated & Frozen Foods Magazine's Processor of the
Year Award. On Saturday, October 20, start your day at the
Washington Insider Breakfast with former U.S. Congressman John
Kasich (R-OH) for a close-up look at the policy issues facing the
food industry. Then, that evening, get your dancing shoes on for the
Food and Dairy Chairman's Award and Big Band Dinner! You'll join in
the celebration as IDFA and the International Association of Food
Industry Suppliers (IAFIS) recognize the valuable contributions of
their respective boards. IDFA will also honor its Soaring Eagle
Award winners and present its first Supplier of the Year Award.
Afterwards, you'll swing the night away to the tunes of Dick
Judson's Big Band.
