SUMMARY:
Committee Serial No. 107-94. Hearing before the Subcom on Highways and Transportation to review the development and deployment of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) using innovative technologies to alleviate traffic congestion and improve highway safety.
 
Hearing was held in light of upcoming reauthorization of surface transportation programs under the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21), including provisions authorizing funding for ITS R&D and deployment of ITS technology.
