SUMMARY:
Hearing before the Subcom on Transportation, Infrastructure, and Nuclear Safety to review the development and deployment of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) using innovative technologies to alleviate traffic congestion and improve highway safety.
 
Hearing was held in light of Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) provisions authorizing funding for ITS R&D and incentive grants to States and localities to deploy ITS technologies.
