WASHINGTON--In its annual environmental scorecard that
rates all members of Congress, the League
of Conservation Voters gave Allen a
zero. [LCV] said Senate
ratings were based on 16 votes cast this year on key
environmental decisions. Those included oil drilling in the
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, toughening fuel-efficiency
standards on new cars and light trucks, and allowing a
national nuclear-waste site at Yucca Mountain in
Nevada.
